At the beginning of the year, many of us make New Year's resolutions to start the journey of good health. Unfortunately by this time of the year that resolution has been lost and forgotten long ago. So what do we do? We wait and tell ourselves "next January I'm going to stick to it" but we don't, duplicating the same cycle over and over again. So what should we do?
The Himalayan Mountains stretch across Asia into China, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bhutan, Afghanistan and India. The salt from these mountains are thought to be the purest in the world due to the fact that, more than 200 million years ago crystallized sea beds were covered by lava and then later by snow and ice for a millennia, preserved and protected from pollution.
In the U.S. the diabetes rate has increased 900% since the early 1960's and for the first time in our history obese people have out numbered those who are underweight. Obesity and diabetes have sky rocketed worldwide, as sugar consumption has increased. A 2014 study revealed 10% of Americans consumed 25% of their daily calories from sugar and 71.4% of adults consumed at least 10% of their daily calories from sugar. Those who consumed 21% or more of their calories from sugar are twice as likely to die from heart disease compared to those who only consumed 7% or less of their calories from sugar. That risk tripled when the daily calorie intake was 25% or greater.
Colic is defined as comfortless crying in a young child or a baby and the child exhibits periodic fussiness that can last over hours or days. Colic is characterized by problems of loud piercing cry, tensed abdominal muscles, flexed legs, and clenched fingers. It generally starts around three weeks of age and lasts until around three months but sometimes lasts for as long as six months. Approximately 10-20% of babies are affected by colic.1
Everywhere we look ads bombard us with the latest exercise craze or the newest face cream promising to wipe away the years with a single use, all in the name of anti-aging. It’s enough to drive us crazy… Let’s stop the insanity and focus on what really works. Number One: WellnessHow well is your body working? Are you suffering from diabetes, high blood-pressure, frequent colds, flu, gastric reflux, etcetera? Do you take any prescriptions or over the counter drugs? If you answered “yes” to any of the following questions, guess what, your body is not working properly.
In passing the other day I had a conversation with a man who said “I love my chiropractor and I never felt better than when I was getting my adjustments.” But, his insurance changed and stopped covering chiropractic and therefore he said that he had to discontinue his treatments; stating that it’s a luxury (like the maid).
Insomnia is the most common complaint among Americans and affects 6 out of 10 people according to the National Sleep Foundation. Insomnia can last for one to several nights, or even longer periods of time lasting months and years. When insomnia lasts more than one month it is considered a chronic condition
The bones in your wrist form a tunnel where the median nerve runs through, along with tendons, ligament and blood vessels. "My overall health has also improved because my allergies and my arthritis are also not as severe as they used to be. Dr. Stiles has always been very accommodating with her hours and appointments, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Over the years, I have recommended my sister, my best friend, my cousin and other friends to this office for chiropractic care."

"Excellent patient care and a convenient location. Dr. Stiles technique is gentle and effective. The office staff is professional and flexible. The office hours offer a wide array of times for busy working people. I switched from a chiropractor that I loved for the location and have not lost anything in terms of service. I highly recommend for pain management, maintenance and wellness services."
-Ruanda G.
"Dr. Stiles is very gentle and caring and helpful in explaining what was wrong with my neck and spine. She came up with a treatment plan for me for the next few months. I was re-examined a few weeks ago and showed a lot of improvement! All without surgery. I highly recommend this chiropractic office."

"Everyone in the office is very nice and helpful. I started going to Dr. Stiles because I had vertigo for more than a year. My doctor just told me it would go away eventually and prescribed Dramamine (which just made me feel sick). I decided to try this method as a last effort to get rid of it and it's worked. I couldn't be happier with the results from my visits here. I would (and have) recommended her to friends and co-workers."

"I've been seeing Dr. Stiles for the past 10 years and in that time, my sciatic nerve has stopped flaring up. I also have had no more middle ear infections or ringing in my ears. I first started going to Stiles Chiropractic for what I thought was the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome, my wrists, hands and fingers were numb and tingling. After a few adjustments, I was feeling much better and have not had that issue since.

"Dr. Stiles has been my chiropractor for almost a decade. Regular visits to Dr. Stiles help me prevent tension from escalating and causing severe, debilitating pain that I've had in the past. I used to "throw my back out" once or twice a year, resulting in my being unable to move for three or four days. With ongoing maintenance, I'm happy to say that that rarely happens anymore, and if it does, Dr. Stiles knows me well enough to help fix it right away."
-Cathy H.
"Dr. Stiles is stellar! I am a resident of Los Angeles and any time I'm in town this is my go to place for chiropractic. Dr. Stiles is very thorough and educated on every joint in the body. I feel at ease and in good hands and most importantly well-informed through our entire sessions. I always walk out feeling taller and poised with a healthy body!"
-Kaila H.
"Wonderful! Best Ever! – I have been to chiropractors throughout my life (good and bad ones) but I have had the best experience here with Dr. Tracey. She gave me a very detailed exam and took the time to go over my exam and explain a treatment plan that will help me feel better in the long run. And I am all about preventative maintenance! She also explained my adjustment so well, I didn't freak out. Her office is wonderful, Friendly and warm!!"
