Bend your knees to bend down, pick up your luggage with both arms while maintaining a straight back, then lift your body by straightening your knees. For especially heavy bags, don’t be afraid to ask for help!

Traveling with others is not only more entertaining, but it can also help relieve back pain. Part of the reason driving can lead to back pain is because drivers rarely get to adjust or change positions to find relief from discomfort. Driving with another person will ensure you can take turns driving, which will allow you to sit in the passenger’s seat where you can make adjustments more frequently.
