Chiropractic, Nutrition, and Wellness

At the start of the new year, you hear more and more about taking on new goals related to diet and healthy eating. We suggest chiropractic care as an attainable and healthy New Year’s resolution and good nutrition helps you to further enjoy the benefits of chiropractic treatment.

Nutrition & Chiropractic

Many people don’t think about it in their everyday life, but the impact that nutrition has on overall physical health and wellness is huge. The foods you eat nourish your body and play a massive role in your health. When you come to Stiles Chiropractic for treatment, Dr. Tracey Stiles will work with you to ensure you are doing everything you an to support a healthy body, and nutrition is a key component in that. Here’s what you need to know.

Chiropractic Care

When receiving treatment from Dr. Tracey Stiles, you can maximize the benefits of your chiropractic treatments by taking care of your body in other ways, such as practicing self-care or eating a healthy diet. Make sure you are getting the best nutrition you can and that you are drinking plenty of water (aim for at least half your body weight in ounces). Exercise and proper rest along with regular chiropractic adjustments will keep you at your best.

Diet

If you aren’t eating healthy foods that give your body the nutrients it needs, it won’t be able to perform optimally. You also won’t feel all that great overall. When your body doesn’t get what it requires, it may begin to breakdown. This can manifest itself as joint pain, inflammation, and other uncomfortable health conditions.
We can help guide you on your path to proper nutrition and you can start by adding these three foods to your diet.

  1. Fresh Fruits: Whatever is in season where you live will be best. Grapes, berries, pomegranates, and cherries are great options to help your body get the antioxidants it needs to keep your cells healthy.

  2. Fresh Vegetables: These foods include things like peppers, carrots, spinach, kale, tomatoes, and legumes. Vegetables are high in fiber and vitamins and minerals your body needs to perform at its best. You need approximately nine servings in one day!

  3. Whole Grains: Whole grains are necessary to supply your body with amino acids and fiber. Make sure you consume grains that aren’t highly processed.
